Anna Wintour Internship Goes for $42,500 in CharityBuzz Auction

Can you really put a price on latte runs, Andre Leon Talley sightings and a Rolaids-and-Red Bull-fueled crash course into the world of fashion?

Apparently you can.

One "lucky" bidder has paid $42,500 to spend a week interning for Anna Wintour at Vogue in a CharityBuzz auction benefiting the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, the company tells us.

As we reported earlier, an auction -- ending any second now -- to meet Oprah Winfrey at a taping of her show is also raking in the dough, with bids up to $23,000.

Meanwhile, an opportunity to intern for a month at Diane von Furstenberg was snapped up for $16,000.

Feeling left out? Don't forget about the Donatella Versace internship gig up for grabs until May 13 (Bueller? Bueller?).

And, lo and behold, Queen Wintour has already auctioned off her services again (this time for The Art of Elysium), offering a meet-and-greet along with tickets to a fashion show during New York Fashion Week, a Christian Louboutin gift certificate and status bags from Proenza Schouler and Alexander Wang.

Get it before it's going, going, gone!

Mtv has you people so messed up. That money was well wasted. They didnt even guarentee you a full time position? You spend 50 grand to "work" with some bougouse pigs selling rags to wrap yor body with? Wake up world, your being sold wooden nickel...50 thousand worth of them in fact!

This is an amazing experience. I'm just kind of into fashion. I love to look & admire, but I would never spend, (even if I could afford it ) on the expensive designers. I loved 'The September Issue' documentary though. So it would be very interesting to be able to see & meet all the people from there. Especially Ms. Wintour & Grace Coddington. Good Luck!!!

I'm sure if you are smart though you could get some good networking in, only if you are exceptional. Oh & you only have a week though!

This is ridiculous, they should think back to when they were young & struggling. How will anyone that isn't a child of the top 1% get an internship if this becomes a trend? Which it kinda looks like it is...

They obviously don't care. Doesn't seem like anyone does, which is why I'm staying in school forever or at least until I can think of a business to run on my own...
