In keeping with the unseasonably warm weather in New York of late, a handful of celebrities walking the red carpet at the Met Costume Institute Gala
decided to add (or, really, subtract) both a sexy and functional touch to their floor-skimming ball gowns by doing away with the backs all together!
Zoe Saldana, Kate Bosworth and Margherita Missoni and all sported elegant gowns, which revealed entirely exposed backs once the ladies did a little turn.

wore an all-black dress with a heavily embroidered flap front that exposed not only her back, but her entire sides. Luckily, no wardrobe malfunctions have been reported just yet.
