Kristen Stewart Talks About Her Cold Red Carpet Attitude in Elle Magazine

And while the 20-year-old actress plays with the masculine-feminine trend on the front of the magazine, donning an office-appropriate blouse by Emporio Armani, flannel paper bag-waist shorts by Tommy Hilfiger, and slicked-back hair, she doesn't stay a tomboy for long.
On the inside pages she's all girlie sex appeal, showing plenty of skin in a black strapless minidress, as well as a bright green Dolce & Gabbana leopard print frock layered over a seductive black lace top.
To mimic the frenzy constantly surrounding Stewart, Elle's editors had her pose against a backdrop littered with blown-up images of Kristen herself.
In the accompanying article, the potty-mouthed actress discusses her cult status and stalker fan problems.
"It's insane!" she says of her lack of privacy. "Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. And the photographers, they're vicious. They're mean. They're like thugs. I don't even want to drive around by myself anymore. It's f-----g dangerous."
Stewart goes on to say that the new lifestyle she's been forced into is making her go against the true private nature of who she is.
"Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, 'Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I'm in?' I can't be by myself and I like being by myself," she laments.
As for her often under-enthused public appearances on the red carpet and at awards shows, the young actress says it's not some sort of act.
"I think it's funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I'm nervous, uncomfortable and awkward -- and I am -- but those are bad words for them," she says.

Therefore, while she might look apathetic to many, she wants to set the record straight with her fans.
"I hate it when they say I don't give a s---, because nobody cares more than I do," she says. "I'm telling you I don't know anybody who does this that gives a s--- more than I do."
And of course, no Kristen Stewart interview would be complete without questions about her love life. When Elle asks about whether she's dating her co-star Robert Pattinson or, as its also rumored, Taylor Lautner, she does little to fan the flames.
"I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them," she says. "People say, 'Just say who you're dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.' It's like, No they won't! They'll ask for specifics."

Not to H8 on KS, but if her true nature is to be so private then why did she choose the entertainment profession? That's about as bad as whining that you gained 300 lbs. after you chose to work at a donut shop.
It's not like she didn't know how obnoxious the tabloids & paparazzi were before going into this career. I have little sympathy for her other than the general sympathy I have for all celebs who are chased down by obsessed fans & media 24/7... but when they get into entertainment knowingly, this is part of that profession.
I'd also think that she could do a better job of at least acting like she wants to be somewhere and do these interviews (which she seems to do all she can to avoid giving any useful information). . . but I don't even think she's a good actor, being so monotone - esp. in Twilight... maybe this will change with some maturity in a few years? I don't know.
And I'm sorry but that new fall hairdo it says she's trying to trend looks really terrible - - even on her.
