The contestants on "The Biggest Loser" are about to gain a combined 226 pounds -- in the form of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, that is.

The football star will tackle the weighty subject of obesity when he appears on the NBC reality series tonight to take contestants on a hike in Malibu and provide encouragement as they work toward their goal of dropping pounds and getting healthy.

"I had an absolute blast doing the show... it was truly an inspiration for me!" Romo, who taped his appearance in February, tells StyleList. Besides helping the competitors fight the battle of the bulge, the Starter spokesperson also taught them about proper workout gear.

"I was just happy to lend a helping hand and let all of the contestants know that Starter provides a great performance product at a great value," Romo says of the attire, which can be found exclusively at Walmart. "It's great stuff for everyone to use as they continue to live a healthy/active lifestyle."

Hey, if you're going to take a beating from Jillian Michaels, you might as well look good while doing it!
