Designer Alice Temperley of Temperley London is teaming up with Annie Lennox, Harper's Bazaar UK, and the Phillips de Pury gallery in London to host a fashionable photography auction benefiting Africa.

The photographs Temperley is donating were originally shown at her Fall 2010 presentation, after she recruited photographer Adam Whitehead to shoot females she felt were quintessential British women in the elegant style of the late English shutterbug Norman Parkinson, who helped define fashion photography of the '50s and '60s.

To create the 16 images, Temperley enlisted Lennox, Sophie Dahl, Erin O'Connor, Lily Cole, and Liberty Ross, among other British beauties, all donning her classic Fall 2010 looks.

On May 18, as part of the True British auction and benefit dinner, these images, plus 15 images by Parkinson -- including a few of legendary Brit model Jean Shrimpton -- will be up for grabs to the highest bidder.

Always a fan of Africa, Temperley is making sure that 100 percent of the proceeds from the Temperley London images and 25 percent from the Parkinson prints will go to Oxfam charity The Circle and support Mali.
