Take a good look at Miranda Kerr. Go on, look closely. Can you believe the poor girl actually suffers insecurities about her appearance?

So Kerr says in the June issue of Elle magazine. In fact, the leggy Victoria's Secret model -- who is dating heartthrob Orlando Bloom -- has even penned a book about body image called "Treasure Yourself" (please, no "chest" or "booty" jokes).

"It's about encouraging young women to embrace their individuality," the 27-year-old Aussie beauty says of her tome, due out later this year. "You may think it's easy for me to say, but we all have insecurities. It's important, as women, to get past all of that and let our talents shine."

And the dimpled face of Victoria's Secret's new Heavenly Flowers fragrance does just that inside the magazine, where she steams up the pages in just-out-of bed hair and some of the season's hottest styles, including a tie-dyed Blumarine silk top with gold-and-crystal limited-edition cuffs from Elie Top for Baccarat, and a flesh-colored Victoria's Secret high-waisted brief with a Marc Jacobs satin crepe shirt and Giambattista Valli silk and python pumps.

"It was great, because it was the Elle body issue," Kerr, who planned to become a nutritionist before switching to modeling, said of her fashion shoot, for which she was photographed by Mariano Vivanco.

"It was about embracing yourself and about embracing your curves... and I really love that."

Check out Elle.com for more of Kerr including behind-the-scenes footage from her shoot.

Okay, first of all, the girl has no curves! Second of all, do you really think a size 0 model, who writes a book about body image, is going to sell? Really? I'm not saying she doesn't have anything to be insecure about, i just think its ridiculous she thinks she can relate to the rest of us!! Try getting a day job that pays $10 an hr, going to school and trying to eat healthy and exercise in between all the demands on you. Miss. Personal trainer, unlimited food and chef budget doesn't know what its like in our world!...PS please put some clothes on!!!!

when women that look like this are insecure about their bodies, it is no wonder that 54% of American women would rather be hit by a truck than be fat...check out some of the reasons why this is the case:

If this gal would put on some weight she might have a chance of looking healthy. I agree with Jessie. She has no curves and no bustline to speak of and normal people don't look that way unless they have a health problem.

This says something about the men who would enjoy looking at a woman who looks like a child. Can we all say Pedophile? There is nothing wrong with staying trim, but this looks anorexic. She has no curves at all.

and you people wonder why she has body image issues... look at all of the hurtful things you people are saying. I think she is beautiful. I am 23 slender but kind of oddley shaped (I have kinda large hips with no butt and skinny legs) I think its nice to see girls in magz that are not always the hourglass figure. I also think you people are rude (maybe out of jealousy.... I think so!)

Don't place all men in one category. In my opinion, the woman looks absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who would even consider buying her book is an idiot. All you are doing is making her rich. There can't be any thing some 27 year old snot nosed bimbo can tell me about life. She hasn't even been around the block one time yet.

she is very thin, obviously has an eating disorder..but unfortuantely that is what our culture encourages..i have an eating disorder, have the same physique and everywhere i go all people do is tell me how great I look..how they would die to look like me..and i tell them..people do

jessie, don't be mad because you can't do the same jobs this woman can. Be happy and confident with who you are, not everyone thinks size zero is the only thing that is beautiful. I happen to think curvy women are just as beautiful if not more so.
Also don't assume people strive to stay thin, I only weigh about 110 pounds and though I eat as much as I can I don't gain weight due to a very high metabolism and the genes in my family.
As for the other comments..I have had a day job, full time mind you, been able to work out, go to school at the same time, eat right (it doesnt mean salads, but it doesnt mean mcdonalds either) AND I had to clean and cook when I got home every night because that was a requirement of me staying somewhere so I would be able to go to school.
Stop complaining and being lazy because that is obviously your problem...i feel bad for you.

She has a pretty face but OMG she needs to put on a few pounds before she blows away. She is so thin I don't even want to look at her naked body if pics were available. She needs psychiatric help to eat enough of the right foods to get healty and soon. Anorexic is not a good look for anybody.

It's sad that she suffers from insecurities, but I can't feel sorry for her. She's a supermodel for goodness sakes. She's considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, and if that isn't enough to boost her self-esteem, then I don't know what's wrong with her. Sure she has no curves, but hey, that's what society is obsessed over so she really has no room to complain. There are millions of girls who would die to be in her shoes, and now she wants to write a self-help book for women? She's doing is solely for the money. I don't believe that she cares about other girl's self esteem.

What is it with everyone jumping to conclusions that just because she's skinny she has an eating disorder? I only weigh 103 pounds but it's not because I starve myself or binge and purge. It's because that's JUST HOW I'M BUILT. I don't have curves either but that doesn't make me any less of a woman. In my opinion, I think she's very pretty.
