On the cover of Harper's Bazaar's June issue, Katherine Heigl, clad in buff-hued Ralph Lauren, is looking prettier than we've ever seen.

The same goes for inside the magazine, where the 31-year-old actress channels Grace Kelly in very ladylike waist-cinched New Look silhouettes by Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, and Lanvin.

Of course, Heigl's natural glow might have something to do with her well-publicized adoption of first child, 18-month-old Naleigh, a baby girl from Korea.

She tells the magazine the unique name she chose for her daughter is actually a combination of her mom's name, Nancy, and Leigh, the name of her longtime manager and also of her own adopted Korean sister.

And while mommy might be gracing the cover of fashion magazines and donning evening gowns on the red carpet, don't expect Heigl to start dressing up Naleigh in the latest designer kid's clothes (a la Suri Cruise or J.Lo's twins) anytime soon.



"Dude, I try, but I'm not nailing the baby fashion," the down-to-earth actress tells Bazaar. "It's intimidating. I get beautiful outfits from Gap and baby Juicy, but I'm not layering it or putting her in Prada flats. It's really stressing me out."

She also explains that Naleigh will grow up level-headed and without the spoils having parents in the entertainment business can bring.

"I want her privilege to afford her to seek many different things that might fulfill her," says Heigl. "I don't want her to have a Beemer on her 16th birthday or spend the summer at a beach house with friends. Nope. You want a beach house, you pay for it."

In Heigl's Bazaar fashion spread, she poses along some equally charming models in the form of adorable dogs.

The actress, who owns six canines herself, did so in honor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation "Hounds of Hope," which is named after her late brother, who died in a car accident when he was 15, and aims to rescue dogs from kill shelters around Southern California.
