A 72-year-old South Carolina woman was arrested for reportedly driving 102 miles an hour because she was late for a hair appointment!

WSPA-TV reports that speedy Spartanburg resident Sandra Powell was pulled over in Union County after officers saw her car moving "all over the road."

Police said the lead-footed lady nearly hit another vehicle as she sped through the 45-miles-an-hour zone and she was later charged with reckless driving. According to the police report, the Greased Lightning granny was aware that she was driving faster than 100 miles an hour.

A member of Powell's family who spoke to WSPA-TV claimed Powell's hair appointment was in Spartanburg, not Union, and suggested that perhaps the medication Powell is taking might be to blame.

Powell was released on bond, and though StyleList isn't certain if she ever made it to her appointment, we're sure she probably ended up with a lovely head of windswept hair.
