With her roles in blockbusters Avatar and Star Trek, plus her stunning red carpet appearances of late, Zoe Saldana has become a force to reckon with in both film and fashion this past year.

So it makes sense that the stunning actress will be the recipient of MaxMara's 'Face of the Future' award at the 2010 Women in Film fund-raising dinner and Crystal + Lucy Awards event on June 1.

Inaugurated in 2006, the 'Face of the Future' award looks to honor an actress having a turning point in her work in film or television. Saldana will join the ranks of past award recipients Emily Blunt, Ginnifer Goodwin, Elizabeth Banks and Maria Bello.

And Saldana won't be the only woman celebrated during the event. Courteney Cox will receive the Lucy Award for Excellence in Television, Donna Langley, the co-chairman of Universal Pictures, will nab the Crystal Award, and writer/director Lisa Cholodenko and cinematographer Cynthia Pusheck will also walk away winners.

"At the dawn of a new decade, it is heartening to acknowledge careers marked by independent vision, daring creative choices and unique talent," Jane Fleming, the president of Women in Film, Los Angeles, said in a statement.

Founded in 1973, the non-profit Women in Film and the Women in Film Foundation support the legacy of women in the entertainment industry through grants, mentorships and an extensive network of contacts.

We're sure Saldana will live up to her 'Face of the Future' title, with four films out this year and the "Star Trek" sequel slated for 2012.

Congrats to the lovely ladies!
