Rock Rihanna's Dark Hair Streaks, Without the Color Commitment

While the look is hot, chances are, sporting it at work or in the day-to-day is not.
But we've found a way to sneak the trend on the weekend or fun nights out only, with the safety net of being able to get back to normal with just a shower.
Although the TouchBack marker was originally created to cover gray roots, you can also use the temporary and water-soluble marker for instant hair color.
"Because not every girl is ready to commit to high-contrast color permanently, trying it on with temporary color is a great option," says Jason Backe, co-owner of celeb-loved Ted Gibson Salon.
To get Rihanna's look, section away a triangle shape of hair with the tip under your crown and the one to two inch base following your hairline. Backe suggests you section the triangle half an inch under your part.
Then take a shade of TouchBack that is at least two levels darker than your base color, and color the triangle from root to tip. You can allow the section to dry with a claw clip to keep it from touching your lighter hair.
An important word of warning: If your hair is particularly damaged and porous or super platinum light, there's a chance a deep color could leave some stain. If you're concerned this might apply to you, just test a strand in a hidden area first.
Once you're done coloring, you should be dry and ready to go in three to five minutes -- though Backe suggests using a hairdryer to speed up the process if you're impatient.
No reason for the stars to have all the fun.
Another tress trend Rihanna's been rocking: the red wig!

Glad they mentioned the staining, it DOES stain. Temporary color isn't really an option for those of us with curly hair because it's always a gel and forms hard if you don't comb it, which we can't.
