In anticipation of the June 7th CFDA Fashion Awards, a.k.a. the Oscars of the fashion industry, the CFDA is launching a humorous photo campaign on Facebook, wherein a flat version of the modern Trova sculpture that will be given to this year's winners travels around New York City like a mysterious traveling gnome. (Think "Up in the Air" minus George Clooney and a large cardboard cutout.)

New York party photographer Hanuk Kim is taking the Trova all around town, and snapping away as she pops up in the hands of industry insiders like Tim Gunn, Donna Karan, Karlie Kloss and Ellen von Unwerth. The Trova has also been seen taking the subway to Brighton Beach, visiting the CFDA Incubator, and milling about with fashion's hipster elite.

Where will Trova end up next? You can check out the CFDA's Facebook fanpage to find out.

In the meantime, check out the list of the deserving designers up for the CFDA Awards this year, including Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Tom Ford, and let us know who you think the Trova should ultimately end up with in a comment below.
