The Wonderbar: Can One Bar Really Do It All?

Post-Memorial Day Weekend means it's officially summer, which will (hopefully) lead to long weekends at the beach and, inevitably, more than a few hot and sticky days.

What better time to detox your complexion and pare your skincare routine down to travel-ready proportions?
Enter the Wonderbar, a bar that looks like your-run-of-the-mill soap, but claims to act as cleanser, exfoliator, toner and moisturizer. It magically gets all manner of gunk and impurities out of your pores, and leaves your skin perfectly pH-balanced, clean and soft. It's ideal for all skin types, even if you battle acne, rosacea or hyperpigmentation.

How is such a thing possible? Wonderbar's own Tiffany Masterson explains.
"Wonderbar's slightly acidic pH base of 5.65 is ideal for cleansing," says Masterson. "It also contains Heilmoor Clay to help draw toxins out of the skin, plus a microalgae complex called Chlorey'nahre to moisturize and normalize the skin cell turnover rate." Masterson suggests pairing it with a basic night-time moisturizer (without added AHAs or retinoids) and a physical sunscreen, made with titanium dioxide or zinc, in the morning.
It's simple. Just lather it up, apply to wet or dry skin, leave on for 3-5 minutes and rinse off; Masterson says you can use a dab as a spot treatment for pimples, too.
Results-wise, expect to see a brighter tone, smaller pores, firmer texture and faded sunspots, according to Masterson.

We've been Wonderbar-ing for only a few days now, and are already psyched to see fewer clogged pores, plus a noticeably more even complexion.

This teensy bar may not be much to look at, but your skin will be.

If you are going to post an article about a new product, you might want to want to give a little more info. The price? Where it can be purchased? Whoever got paid for this article did not earn their money!

Have you seen how much this 'wonder' costs????!!! You can get the same results from excellently handcrafted natural soap with similar ingredients for much less cost.

this sounds to go to be true... but does anyone know where you would buy this product. I would like to give it a try.

I went to look into buying it, but a small bar for $40, and a large for $105? That's kind of ridiculous.

$40.00 for a 25 gram (roughly 1 oz.) bar. Seriously? This is a lot less than one-fourth the size of a typical bar of handmade soap at approximately 4.5 oz (just as a size comparison). You have to admit that P.T. Barnum knew what he was talking about!

1. Wash your face with your favorite cleanser. It does not have to be expensive.

2. Make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply it to your face with a damp wash cloth. Rinse and pat dry. This is the BEST exfoliater I have found and it is cheap & natural.

3. Crack an egg and use only the egg white as a masque. Let it harden on your face ( it will pull your skin. ) Rinse thoroughly. Your pores will be tightened, impurities and "gunk" lifted from your pores and your face will feel super smooth.

4. Witch Hazel is an excellent astringent / toner. So is chilled Vodka.

5. Use whatever moisturizer you like. Again, it does not need to cost a fortune. Any Oil of Olay product is excellent.

6. Bare Minerals / Escentuals are, in my opinion, the BEST makeup on the market and these products are natural. They make a base lotion called "Skin Revver Upper" which is amazing. When used under the mineral makeup, your face looks smooth, natural and gets better as the day wears on.

Just my two cents.

I agree with michele. I use all of those things (minus the egg). I use witch hazel every day. So did my mother and her mother and so on. No person on earth should spend money on toners and other specialty crap like them especially, but really I would like to add an additional unbiased perspective.

I have senitive skin, I use cetaphil cleansers mostly, pure palmers cocoa butter as lotion and sunscreen when needed. I live in AZ and it really makes my skin dry and and sometimes damages my skin as well. When I need (and other people as well) to exfoliate, deep cleanse, have problem skin, acne or what have you and need to use additional products all of those things add up.

Clay masks and other such products are very good for your skin but most are not cheap. So, if this one bar truly does work (yet to be determined), the price is not so bad because if you added up the cost of everything else you buy to do the job of this one thing it would no doubt be more than the cost of the bar.

That said, in order for me to even consider something like this I would need some really serious proof that it had magic powers first!

P.S. Betsi, Barnum didn't say what you are inferring. He simply repeated it and it is now attributed to him.

All of you, please read the latest assault on skin care products, including soap. Most of us are using brands, terribly detrimental to our skins, even cancer causing. It is now being revealed that nano-technology is in over 10,000 products, many skin-care products!! Even foodstuffs. FDA is working on the scope of the problem. In the meantime, each of us is responsible for gathering as much info as possible, especially when it comes to what we are using on children, believing they are protected.

I have no idea who in their right mind would spend 40+ dollars on a BAR OF SOAP!!! I don't care if it made me look like Heidi Klum! that's just ridiculous. I'll stick with my neutrogena scrub, witch hazel and oil of olay, thankyouverymuch.

This article is incomplete, as many questions are left unanswered and now we are curious to know:
- Is this bar for the face, body, or both?
- Where can we buy this Wonderbar?
- How much does it cost?

i would try this bar cause lets face it, we are all seeking the fountain of youth, at any cost. and we just keep hoping that this product will be the one, it sucks getting old and i no i will be kicking and fighting to the end. its so hard to be pretty and face the music that your looks wont last forever no matter what you try, but doesnt mean you cant try
