Talk about riding with your top down!

A motorcade of barely dressed women rolled through the streets of London, but they weren't on their way to a nudist colony -- it was all in the name of fashion.

According to London's Telegraph, the daring drive-by -- organized by Lingerie Francaise, with the support of the French Government -- featured eight models riding in vintage cars and wearing flapper-esque pearls and an assortment of corsets, bras, bustiers, stockings, and lacy knickers.

Each of the models was also given a satin robe in case she got cold (or creeped out by the leering men?).

The procession of panties was part of an initiative to promote France's leading lingerie brands, including Princesse tam tam, Chantelle, Aubade, Lise Charmel, Simone Pérèle, Antinéa, and Passionata.

This isn't the first time the project has taken underwear outdoors. They've previously staged similar fashion shows in Toronto and Hong Kong and will next head to Prague, Dubai, and Ljubljana. (That last one just sounds dirty!)

No word on whether they'll be coming to the Big Apple, but it's not like seeing people on the street in their underwear would shock New Yorkers. We've already got the Naked Cowboy.
