It seems the new Louis Vuitton World Cup trophy case isn't the only fashion infusion the 2010 FIFA World Cup will see.

During the opening ceremony on June 10, international superstar Shakira will perform her new single "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" -- the official song of the 2010 World Cup games -- in a Roberto Cavalli custom designed ensemble.

To go along with the tribal-feeling song and South African location, Cavalli whipped up a second-skin zebra-print jumpsuit with side cutouts and a fringed skirt made out of numerous pieces of animal-print silk that mimics a grass skirt.

The Colombian songstress' accessories, which will include leather fringe bracelets and cuffs made of roughly cut pearls, are also by Cavalli.

Whether Shakira will wear Cavalli for other dates on her worldwide tour is yet to be seen. After the World Cup performance, the singer heads to the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival, then makes several U.S. stops (see the full schedule.)

What a terrible thing to write. But let me write this in response: Shakira performed as a teen and then stopped to go to college. She subsequently graduated from a top 20 University and recently resumed her career. That shows she cares more about her education and future. That also shows she does indeed has long-term talent. She will have a bright life ahead of her for that. How 'bout you?

What in the name of 'soccer'/football has Shakira and her so called 'dress code' to do with the World's largest athletic/sports event.
Both items shown are unattractive and quite trashy.
Get over Shakira and her gladrags (or lack of them) and lets get on with the game(s)!
Why does sexy always have to intrude on pure sport.?

Shakira's performance was quite enjoyable and memorable, and her outfit was cutting edge. If you watched it, you must have felt what most people did ... or you are just impossible to please.
