Dear Underwear Manufacturers -- Herewith is MY input: (1) Underwire bras are poorly disguised medieval torture devices. If science can put an astronaut on the moon and hundreds of pages of data on a piece of material the size of a pinpoint, surely SOMEONE can come up with a wire-free bra in a larger size that is supportive, comfortable, and SEXY. (Perhaps an engineering student at MIT might be interested in this as a physics project.) And for God's sake please start making larger sizes in some color besides black, beige, and white!! Anyone paying attention out there???

Obviously you only asked a select group of people for this survey. Chantelle, Wacoal, Natori, Fantasie, Freya and LeMystre are all excellent bras that fit well. As for full figured pretty bras, they are out there at your better retail stores. And if you complain about underwire and your bra being a torture device, get fit by a bra professional.

@auntycrane..You could try Fredericks of Hollywood. Their bras come in plus size and aren't expensive (anywhere from $20-$40 a bra). Also, they come in a VARIETY of colors. I wear a 42D and i have purple, pink, red with white embroidery, white with blue embroidery, black with red embroidery, etc.If you're not REALLY huge, you shouldn't have a problem with their bras. Some go up to a size 44G.

As for the bra I swear by, it HAS to be, hands-down, Fredericks of Hollywood Liquid Lift bras. They even out your breast shape and size and add an extra cup size.

Underwires are torture! Hate Them..they poke and cause all sorts of problems if you are larger than a "B" Cup! As for Panties...I don't want my tummy and Butt hanging out. Of course if you have a very boyish figure you can get away with thongs or very low cut panties. However...truthfully off the runway very few real woman have that type of figure. Letting it all hang out is not a pretty sight! nor a sexy one either.

I would like to see a sports bra that is for a cup size larger than D. There are some of us who would like to do something more than just walking. Trying to fit a DD, DDD or larger into a compression sports bra for a D makes it hard to breathe.

For all you larger breasted women: CACIQUE has the absolute perfect bra. Great lift without underwires, no riding up, no rolling up...flattens under the side arm area, no back bulge, is comfortable on the shoulder, no peek a boo over the top boob if you get the right size. I will never ever buy another bra. First bra I have ever worn that is comfy alllllllllll day. I wear a 40 DD and the sizes go way up and down from there. If you measure the way they say to you can mail order it. The only store I have found it in is Lane Bryant outlet stores. I call and order it over the phone and have it mailed because I live over 100miles away. Just google it.

Would someone please come up with a t-back, flexiback, yback, crossback bra with wide straps for DD and larger? and it would be nice if it closed in the front....shoulders are hurting, back hurts...tired of what's out there....

The most comfortable bra in the world is the Bali Passion for Comfort Minimizer. I hope they never stop making it.

I think what many of of are looking for is not the Cacique/Lane Bryant "plus sized" bra, but the "full-figured" bra for large cup sizes. I personally wear a 32G, and have found that I can only purchase them from British retailers- US online retailers may carry one or two styles, but at twice the price! When will American designers learn that while a "B" cup may be "average", the "average" woman isn't a B!!!

I have worn the Bali bra for years and love it. Yes, it has underwire, but if your bra fits right they will not be uncomfortable. This is the biggest problem, women will not get a professional fit and they go around with breast hanging over the top, and when this happens, the fit around is to small. The good thing I like about the bali is it has 5 closures in the back to give you more support also. When your bra also fits correctly, your shoulders should not hurt. JMO for what it is worth.

I am 5'2 average build but very large bust. I wish they would come out with a bra that had a better design in the back to help hold up my girls. I'm finding my shoulders are starting to slump with the weight. I don't want to end up hunched over.

If it were up to me I would never wear a bra and would only wear granny panties. Who could be comfortable and properly covered with a thong. They remind me of years ago when kotex pads where worn with this thing like a g string and it would end up in your ass. It hurt. Now we have wings!!!!

I purchased some lovely bras in WalMart for $5 each that fit better than the $30 bras at the department stores. I am average size with a little bit extra and as soon as I get home I take off everything and put on a loose fitting shift, fresh panties the AC cold, and relax.
