In the latest edition of Emmy magazine, the "Glee" cast say "cheerio" to their teenage togs in favor of more glamorous garb.
The guys -- Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, and Cory Monteith -- look dapper in jackets, vests, ties, and pants, while the ladies -- Jessalyn Gilsig, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays, Amber Riley, Lea Michele, and Dianna Agron -- appear prom-ready in knee-length girly frocks.
Jane Lynch, who plays snide coach Sue Sylvester, hangs up her track suit in favor of a dark top and pants.
The talented "Glee" gang posed for the magazine's For Your Consideration issue, which precedes the Emmy nominations and Primetime Emmy Awards (the Fox series, which just completed its freshman year, is thought to be a shoo-in for a nomination). Inside the issue, the stars appear in individual portraits and talk about their journey to the top.
Agron, 24, who plays pregnant cheerleader Quinn Fabray, shows off her fit figure in a demure pink dress with a tulle skirt, while her on-camera arch-nemesis Michele, 23, ditches her preppy attire for a seductively simple white frock with a sweetheart neckline.
"The minute I read Rachel Berry, I felt such a connection to her," says Michele, who moved producers to tears during her audition and was offered the role on the spot. "Her drive and passion for singing and performing -- that's my therapy in life. It helps me learn who I am."
