Dads seem to get a raw deal on their holiday, don't they?

Trust us, Pops does not want more golf-or-fishing-themed junk or another tie. Whether they realize it or not, your own father or the father of your children will really love if you bust out with something new this year.

"You want to get him something that he will actually use, but also something that's special and he can enjoy," says celebrity stylist and men's grooming expert Sam Saboura.

With that advice in mind, we rounded up a bevy of skin and hair care product picks that give him a little pampering while remaining completely masculine, and above all, useful!

For the Travelin' Man
To make sure he doesn't make use of the dubious hotel offerings, get him Philip Kingsley's travel-size Take Comfort Jet Set package, $34. It comes with mini bottles of Flaky Itchy Shampoo, Moisture Balancing Conditioner and Flaky Itchy Scalp Tonic, to make sure his hair is looking good.

For the New Dad

Want to help the new, sleep-deprived dad in your life? Slip him this L'Oreal Paris Men's Expert Hydra-Energetic Ice Cold Eye Roller, $10.99. The serum has vitamin C and caffeine to help deal with dark circles and puffiness, plus it gives a fantastically cool and smooth mini massage to tired eyes.

For the No-Nonsense Dad
Ole Henriksen's Men's Kit, $70, is full of a selection of the skin care guru's best sellers (On the Go Cleanser, Sheer Transformation Moisturizer, Walnut Complexion Scrub and Natural Hair Wash). They're all super-effective and non-frou-frou -- key features when it comes to guys' preferences.

For the Gadget Dad
We'll call it the iPad of razors. The Art of Shaving Fusion Chrome Collection ProGlide PowerRazor, $150, is a splurge the techy dad will love. Gentle micro pulses help reduce friction and improve glide, and a built-in spotlight squelches shadows under the chin and jaw to help him avoid missed spots. Not to mention a sleek, smooth design that even an Apple fanatic will love.

For the Eco Dad
The Earth-friendly brand Aveda has all kinds of cool offers on avedathanksman.com. You can send a personalized e-card, which includes a printable coupon for a free sample of Aveda Men Pure-formance Shampoo, redeemable at any Aveda retail store. Also, from now through June 21st, you can register for a chance to win free full-size gift sets for him and for you, too, plus free shipping and a 3-Piece Sample Pack of Color Conserve Shampoo, Conditioner and Strengthening Treatment with all Aveda.com orders over $40 (enter the code New610 at checkout).

The Art of Shaving Fusion Chrome Collection ProGlide PowerRazor, $150; L'Oreal Paris Men's Expert Hydra-Energetic Ice Cold Eye Roller, $10.99; Bigelow Premium Shave Foam, $10; No!No! 8800 Hair Removal System, $99. Courtesy Photo

For the Shave-Hating Dad

Serious manscaping went out of style with the death of the metrosexual, but most dudes still have some fuzz they'd like to eliminate. Get him the No!No! 8800 Hair Removal System, $99, which is painless, slows regrowth and makes any hair that grows back thinner and lighter.

For the Non-Bearded Dad
If the poor guy has to scrape his face and neck with a razor every day, he should do so with some fancy accompaniments. Bigelow Premium Shave Foam, $10, is made with eucalyptus oil, menthol, and glycerin to make sure hair is prepped for shaving and skin stays non-irritated and smooth.

For the Pampered Dad
Ahava Mineral Men's Collection Gift Set, $47, contains a trio of no-nonsense products: Mineral Shower Gel, Foam-Free Silk Shave Cream and Soothing After-Shave Moisturizer. They're all packed with the brand's Dead Sea minerals, perfect for cleansing and moisturizing men's skin, which tends to be on the oily side.

For the Fragrant Dad
Men rarely set out on a quest for a personal fragrance the way we women do, but you can definitely help him find something new. Bath and Body Work's Signature Collection includes lighter fare, like Citrus and Ocean, plus spicier options like Oak and Noir ($29.50 each), so there are choices to suit every taste.

For the Spicy Dad
Every guy who has experienced Molton Brown's Black Pepper products becomes an instant fan because it smells spicy and manly. The Father's Day Gift Set, $58, has two sizes of the stuff and a matching body moisturizer, plus a bottle of the new Buchu scented body wash. If you're leery of scented body products for men, don't worry: this is pure sophistication, not the cheesy stuff targeted at teenage boys.

For the Adventurous Dad
Talk about universal appeal. Kiehl's is a favorite across the male spectrum, from enthusiastic groomers to rough-around-the-edges types. Here's their new Cross-Terrain Collection: All-In-One Refueling Wash, $15.50, UV Skin Protector SPF 50, $22.50, and a "Dry Run" Foot Cream, $18.50, all of which was tested by guys in the National Geographic's Young Explorers Program (a mountain climber, a scuba diver and a wildlife photojournalist). Perfect for true adventurers, and for those who only dream of being Bear Grylls from Man vs. Wild.

These are all items that women think men want, or more accurately it's stuff they hope men want. A roll of duct tape would be more useful and probably more welcome than any of this crap.

oh sure, my guy just adores eye cream...NOT or extra special creamy
shampoo, yeah sure and wonderful moisturizer ...get real will ya?
He might like some good tapes or books about his favorite subject ie?
WW11, fishing, hunting, football, etc. or a gift certificate for two to his
favorite restaurant, but cosmetics? Maybe some really good after shave, otherwise forget them.

My father is eighty-five years old and the stuff you say a man would use is not appropriate. In fact few men I know would want any of it. Please check with real people before you decide what they want.

I'm one of those guys that enjoy getting new socks and underwear not only on Dads day but Christmas and my BD those are definetly something I can use and I don't mean those cheap socks and underwear from Wally World and K mart. The type of socks I wear cost over $15 or more a pair from a good dept store and the underwear too. I have my family trained they know not to buy me cheap socks and underwear only the best for me.

Most dads want a good razor,a nice splash on after-shave that smells good and attracts women, plenty of underwear, lots of socks in the same color and style so they do not have to worry about mates, basic hand tools for home and auto repairs, food they like, and an assortment of shirts and pants that can easily go together. If they have a hobby like playing piano or guitar, they like music books. If they like to fish, then get them gear.
