Looks like Australia native Cate Blanchett is taking her Oz roots to heart -- the actress turned up at the 2010 Tony Awards looking like a glam Tin Woodsman!

Blanchett was clearly thinking Emerald City when choosing her outfit for the Radio City event. With her blonde hair smartly parted to the side -- what, no funnel hat? -- the 41-year-old Oscar winner literally shone in a Giorgio Armani Privé silver organza evening suit, which included technical fabric, a shawl lapel, exaggerated shoulders, and flared trousers. (Um, we can't even imagine the skinny-leg version.)

But, instead of pinning a heart-shaped timepiece on a chain to her metallic suit, Blanchett opted to accessorize her chic ensemble with some serious bling from Van Cleef & Arpels: the "Zip Pompon" necklace, which is comprised of over 450 diamonds set in white gold with a working zipper, and the "Laureen" ring, a 5-carat emerald-cut diamond set in platinum. She completed her look with a Roger Vivier "Boite de Nuit" clutch.

Blanchett, who is co-artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company and has appeared at New York City's Brooklyn Academy of Music in "Hedda Gabler" and "A Streetcar Named Desire," was on hand at the Tony Awards to present the Best Play and Best Revival of a Play awards.

We're guessing someone was waiting in the wings with an oilcan just in case she found herself speechless.
