After confessing that she didn't know whether to cheer on the USA or England in the World Cup match, diplomatic singer Katy Perry stepped out in London wearing a rubber dress that was half stars-and-stripes and half Union Jack.
"OMG! I'M SO DIVIDED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!" American-born Perry, who is engaged to British comic Russell Brand tweeted during the June 12 soccer game.
When the heated match ended in a tie, she wrote, "EVERYBODY WINS!!! I LIKE THAT! (Plus as an american marrying a englishman... I am DIVIDED)."
But her tension over the two teams was nothing compared to her stress over her dress. Perry planned to wear the rubber flag frock to an interview on James Corden's World Cup Live talk show that evening, but the dress had yet to arrive.
"Another amazing race for a dress has happen [sic] again. Important dress. It's on a plane now, but plane had 2 emergency stop cuz someone passed away mid flight! So sad!" she tweeted.
"So we'll see if the dress makes it in time... If not, my world cup convo is gonna take a beating on the chat show."
Thankfully, the dress arrived in time, thus saving Perry, who accessorized her outfit with a CC Skye Punk Princess Pave Bracelet, a last-minute dash to Topshop.
