At the Apollo Theater Spring Benefit Concert on June 14, 2010 in New York City, J. Lo really shocked us in this gold plunge-front Gianfranco Ferre dress.
It looked like it was made for the petite-yet-curvy star, and really drove home the point that Jen is still as committed to a healthy lifestyle as ever. (Can we have that body after two kids? Please?)
The plunge front works for J. Lo precisely because she doesn't have a huge bust. If she did, the effect would be smutty instead of stylish. Knee length also is a staple for the star, who has very slender legs and a famously more ample derrière.
Fellow diva Aretha Franklin also went for the gold at the Apollo event, showing up in her own version of a gilded showstopper. In fact, the sequin dress she wore might look a little familiar -- it was the same one she wore the night before to the Tony Awards.
Hey, live and let live.
