No one knows the pancake feel and weight of foundation quite like a star "on set."

When Japanese actress Koh Gen Do's long hours shooting film under hot white lights began to take a serious toll on her complexion in the late 80's, she was inspired to create a petroleum-free line of products that skipped out on irritating synthetic colors and fragrances in favor of natural east Asian herbs.

The brand has since expanded to include a full range of color and skincare products, and has crossed the Atlantic by way of Hollywood celebrities and makeup artists alike. (We hear that Katherine Heigl can't get enough of the Aqua and Moisture Foundations.)

Instead of your typical pick-a-shade foundation ritual, Koh Gen Do emphasizes color correction with a primer first. Green diffuses dullness and redness for fair skin tones, yellow brightens deeper skin tones, and pearly white creates "optical smoothing," which blurs the look of imperfections and pores.

The shades can be dabbed and blended on different areas of the face, depending on your complexion's needs.

Once you're prepped, two to three pearl-sized squeezes of foundation are recommended for breathable coverage the brand claims is resilient enough to meet the demands of high definition filming.

The entire line will debut at Barney's stores and at Barneys.com this August, so that us mere mortals can more easily get our claws on the goods.

We were itching to play and experiment with the pretty red bottles of product before then -- and realized that we're most likely not alone on this one. So StyleList has gathered 15 Makeup Trial Sets for 15 lucky readers who can paint and blend-by-the-dots, for free!

To enter the giveaway:
-Leave a confirmed comment below telling us about your biggest summer makeup challenge.
-The comment must be left by June 21, 2010.
-You may enter only once.
-Fifteen winners will be selected in a random drawing.
-Fifteen winners will receive a Koh Gen Do Makeup Trial Set.

My biggest makeup problem in summer is my foundation getting melty when it's really hot out.

My biggest summer makeup challenge is getting adequate sun protection for my fair skin without feeling greasy and causing my makeup slide all over the place.

My biggest summer makeup challenge is keeping the makeup on all day! Usually I have either sweated it off, or it has become a slick greasy mess.

My biggest challenge is finding a sunblock, primer, foundation product that can withstand the summer heat without sliding off of my face in a greasy shiny slick!

My biggest challenge this summer will be keeping my skin from looking too shiny and oily. I recently started using skindinavia shine no more and so far so good!

For me, it's the issue of needing coverage, yet I'm oily! I get my makeup on just right, then oily skin ruins it. I usually just wash it off and redo :)

That's easy, my biggest summer makeup challenge is keeping it from sliding off my face! I live in a hot, humid place and cut way back on eye makeup especially during the summer.

My biggest challenge is to stay creative with my makeup on a daily basis while my 8 am summer class schedule gets so repetitive. Every day of 8 am engineering classes back to back, then hours of engineering homework does not enhance creativity.

My biggest challenge, in the summer, is keeping my make-up fresh all day. It is difficult to keep the nice just applied look all day when you are running around doing a million things. We have high humidity here sometimes and that is the worst. This make up line looks refreshing and just perfect.

My biggest summer makeup challenge is eyeshadow because I have oily eyelids, eyeshadow does not stick onto my eyelids. It smears off after the day or during the day. It looks like I have no eye make up.

My biggest challenge is definitely oiliness. Even with a primer, no matter what kind of foundation I use, after a few hours my face is very shiny and my makeup smears easily.
