The young singer appeared on stage with an over-sized flower on her head.
Accepting her award from friend and fellow singer John Mayer, Swift looked gorgeous with her curly coif pulled back and adorned with a large pink and white hair piece from the ban.do collection -- an uber chic brand of high-end accessories that have become a "love story" for Swift.
And she's not the only celeb dressing up her 'do with big, bold accessories this year.
Ever since models paraded down the Spring 2010 runways with everything from bows to beads in their hair, these embellishments have become the latest must-have for our manes. Stars like Kate Hudson, Paris Hilton, January Jones, Rose Byrne and Carey Mulligan have all been spotted with their own strands' statement pieces.
"Hair accessories and adornments are a big trend right now and we are seeing it on the runways in fashion shows and on red carpets," celebrity hair stylist Mark Townsend told Stylist in an earlier interview. "I love using ribbons, crystals and sometimes even diamonds to dress up a simple hair style."
When presented with the Hal David Starlight Award, Mayer praised Swift's musical success by saying, "She's no accident. You could put her in a time machine in any era and she would have a hit record." He went on to say, "Don't confuse everybody loving one thing as hype. Sometimes that's everyone agreeing that it's fabulous."
Fabulous looking indeed.
The 20-year-old country beauty also wore a soft lilac color J. Mendel dress with beige Christian Louboutin stilettos, Lorraine Schwartz diamond and lavender jade bangles, a diamond bangle and a diamond flower ring.
By the way, if you like Swift's ban.do hair accessories, you might be able to catch one at a show, as the star reportedly has given a lucky fan the very one she is wearing at each of the shows on her "Fearless" tour.
