Sound the vuvuzelas!

V magazine is celebrating the World Cup with a steamy 12-page spread devoted to soccer stars and their wives.

The sexy shoot, which appears in "The Sexy Body Issue," is based on the Argentine phenomenon of "botineras" (aka "footballers' wives," as the soccer spouses are known overseas) and features some of the industry's hottest models posing provocatively for fictitious tabloid Caros.

Wearing green Ralph Lauren Blue Label jeans and a blue Victoria's Secret bra, Caros cover girl Alessandra Ambrosio appears on the soccer pitch, hand placed seductively on her hip and a Brazilian between her legs -- flag, that is.

Between the "covers," a topless Eniko Mihalik poses near the goalkeeper's net in just a pink Guess jacket, Chanel bag, and jewelry from Cartier, Kenneth Jay Lane, and Jacob & Co. Meanwhile, Maryna Linchuk breast-feeds from the sidelines in a tan Blumarine jacket and Diesel denim shorts with a Kenneth Jay Lane belt. Her nursing ensemble is accessorized by a Gap hat, Dior sunglasses, a Rolex watch, and Dior Fine Jewelry.

Dree Hemingway unleashes her wild side in an animal-print hat, scarf, and sweater from Dolce & Gabbana, faded Calvin Klein Jeans, and boots from Ralph Lauren Collection. And shirtless male model Simon Nessman portrays a soccer star who shows off his Cartier watch and leather and silver Pou Pou Lapin bracelets while grabbing his ball.

In another spread, Hemingway and Nessman make like marrieds on the beach, both sporting skimpy Dolce & Gabbana swimwear. Elsewhere, Martin Landgreve and Jacques Naude model Dolce & Gabbana tanks and DSquared jeans; Evandro Soldati flashes bling from Cartier, Jacob & Co., and Most Wanted Design by Carlos Souza; and Constance Jablonski covers her worldly cups with a G-Star denim jacket while slipping her hand down the front of her Diesel denim shorts. We cry foul!

The Footballers' Wives spread, shot by Sebastian Faena, appears in issue 66 of V magazine, on newsstands July 8.
