Jane Iredale's New Powder Sunscreen: We're Obsessed + Win One!

We've only been toting Jane Iredale's powder sunscreen in our bags for less than 24 hours, but already, we can't be without it.

Powder-Me SPF 30 is a translucent powder that slips on skin like silk, leaving no trace of grease, goop or that icky sunscreen scent that comes with most sunscreen lotions. The powder provides full physical protection with active ingredient titanium dioxide, and contains no artificial preservatives or parabens, just like the rest of Iredale's products.

The dry sunscreen dispenses through a sponge, and contains a clever little mirror to make sure on-the-go touch-ups are blended in. We found the powder especially easy to apply on sun-sensitive areas like the ears and neck, where the undesirable slick of lotions often keeps us from applying enough sunscreen.

"Powder-Me contains full UVA and UVB protection. You can think of UVA as causing aging damage, while UVB gives you the burn," Iredale told a group of beauty writers over lunch at New York's Serafina Fabulous Grill, where the elegant Brit distributed full-sized samples of the product to al fresco dining patrons in celebration of the summer solstice.

When applying the product, we found that a few taps to dispense powder followed by a quick blending with the sponge made for an even spread.

Whatever your preferred technique, make sure to blend the powder over the skin for full protection. Iredale shared a story to the laughs of the room of an associate's husband who begrudgingly tapped the powder in a couple of spots on his back at his wife's insistence -- only to emerge lobster-red from hours spent in the sun, with a couple of distinct round spots of perfectly protected light skin where the product had been applied.

We're so enjoying the product, that we just had to share the love. StyleList has arranged for 10 winners to receive Powder-Me SPF 30, completely free and shipped straight to your door!

IdolTan is an excellent one step product, which provides the ease of 3 products in one. This product is a must for anyone who wants a quick and easy, natural and safe formula for a beautiful tan applied in minutes. I love this product, and can attest to its efficiency and effectiveness. I will never go back to any other tanning product after using IdolTan ( Http://tr.im/IdolTan )

I dont like having the oily sunscreen on my face just for that reason...the oily feeling on the face...and the thickness.

I've tried all different types of sunscreens!! most of them make me break out everywhere or leave my face all oily and shiny. I am still on the search for the sunscreen that can protect my face from the sun and not clog pores!

As a female with sensitive, fair skin, I've run the gamut researching and trying sunscreens. Sun blocks with active chemical ingredients (i.e., avobenzone and oxybenzone) avoid the sticky chalkiness of mineral-based (zinc and titanium oxide) sunscreens, but irritate my skin. Mineral-based sun blocks generally make cosmetic application difficult with poorer results.

I have resorted to using a medium film of mineral-based sun block on critical areas prone to damage (nose, cheek bones, forehead, and upper lip), and applying Nicole Miller mineral powder after it has been absorbed. I have heard good things about Jane Iredale products and would love to try her new powder sunscreen!

My number one complaint about sunscreen is it runs into my eyes. Running a close second is having to wait around for it to soak in.

My biggest gripe about sunscreen products is that whenever I use them, I not only smell oddly, my skin burns and I break out within the next few days.

My biggest sunscreen gripe is that the skin on my face is so sensitive that putting sunscreen on my face causes a burning sensation. It doesn't exactly encourage me to wear sunscreen!

NO.1 concern for me is allergic reaction! Now I learned to read the ingredient list and (tried to) figure which I should or should not try (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are pretty safe bet).

I know that I should wear sunscreen everyday. . .
But applied under my makeup and it always makes my already oil-prone skin feel slick and gross. It makes my makeup slide off faster, too. And then I don't reaaply sunscreen during the day because it will ruin my already done makeup.
Not to mention the smell, and sometimes burning if I get too close to my eyes.
YUCK!
