Salvatore Ferragamo is following in the footsteps of Gucci, Diane von Furstenberg, and Kate Spade with the design of its first e-reader case.

Ferragamo's superchic version, which fits the iPad, is made of the rich European calfskin with which the company has become synonymous. There is a slightly more casual beige canvas option with brown leather trim as well.

Both cases feature a slim envelope design, brass Ferragamo logo, and handy leather strap. Shoppers have their choice of mandarin orange (which we're really loving), moss green, and a black hue for the allover-calfskin cases.

All styles, which retail from $290 to $390, will be available at Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques nationwide at the end of the month.

Honestly, we won't be surprised if we see Suri Cruise, an early Ferragamo fan, reading her fairy tales with one of these. And really, who can blame her?
