Not only did the 29-year-old songstress pick up the first honor of the night for Best Female R&B Artist, beating out Beyonce, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, and Melanie Fiona, she was also sporting a huge rock from her super-producer fiancé Swizz Beatz and an adorable baby bump that she showed off throughout the night.
During the star-studded award show Keys, who told "Good Morning America" that she's "right about" at five months pregnant, swapped costumes on a few occasions.
First the singer donned a white floor-length gown with Grecian draping in the front, which partially disguised her growing belly, then the multi-Grammy Award winner changed into a purple satin strapless minidress with a gathered bodice by Dolce & Gabbana to perform a medley of her greatest hits.
During the performance, Keys didn't let her pregnancy slow her down as she strutted around the stage in bright pink patent leather platform pumps and the playful dress.
A Dolce & Gabbana spokesperson tells StyleList that the dress was specially fitted for the New York-bred star.
Keys also stepped out in the dress to accept the award for Best Collaboration for her "Empire State of Mind" hit collaboration with Jay-Z before changing into another Dolce & Gabbana ensemble -- a black corset with fringe detail and matching leggings -- for her second performance of the night.
Other notable style happenings of the evening include Best Female Hip-Hop Artist winner Nicki Minaj in a bright orange wig and vintage Rochas ballgown, Jada Pinkett Smith in a jumper so tiny it looked like underwear, and Kanye West ditching his shirt altogether.
