Angelina Jolie Stuns on Vanity Fair, Talks Brad Pitt's Beard, Shiloh's Tomboy Style

In her typical outspoken fashion, Angelina Jolie shares her thoughts on marriage and motherhood in the August issue of Vanity Fair (she's got no plans for either one any time soon, in case you were wondering).

But what really grabbed StyleList's attention was what she has to say about partner Brad Pitt's notoriously shaggy beard and their daughter Shiloh's even more controversial tomboy style.

The 35-year-old "Salt" star, who poses seductively with a '60s spin on the magazine's cover, with highlighted hair, seriously smoky eyes, pale pink lips, and her bountiful cleavage pouring out of a black bustier, admits that she dresses her 4-year-old daughter "like a little dude."

Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style
. It's how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."

While Shiloh is often photographed in studly duds like cargo pants, hoodies, neckties, and fedoras (hmm... I think she's been raiding my closet), her mom posed for celebrity shutterbug Patrick Demarchelier in more womanly attire, wearing a sexy pair of hot pants with a shrunken leather jacket in one spread and a chic black cleavage-baring suit in another shot.

Not surprisingly, the open-minded Jolie is equally cool with the grungy, overgrown goatee that Pitt, 46, only recently trimmed. Said the star of the upcoming "The Tourist," "I love Brad in every state."

Of course, she might not feel the same way if he looked like Danny DeVito.

Speaking of Pitt, read about the polo star/Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras, who has been called the "Brad Pitt of Argenitna."

hmmm...a four year old prefers track suits? I am thinking that there is a little more parental input and influence than mom suggests.

Hey, "L"...speak for yourself. It is so stupid to attach so much importance to a piece of paper. I would much rather pay attention to the fact that they have halped so many people in so many countries and give those children so much love. If you can tell me that a piece of paper can make that better, you are missing the point.

MsMike - Amen to that, people are quick to critique while stuffing their faces on doritos and coke. While Angelina and Brad actually get off their butts and help people everywhere on the globe. Shame on all of you that talk down on them, the tabloids exploit this couple and you guys eat it up. What do you do L and countless others? Write a $10 check to a charity maybe once every 10 years or non at all? Pffft, great humanitarian that you guys are! Stuff it! They can have as many kids as they want, they take care of them so mind your own business.

I think Angelina probably knows that Shiloh is transgendered (in this case, male brain in female body). One might say that Shilo is a child and is just having fun beng a tomboy... wait and see. When she is an adult I am sure she will have sex-reassignment surgery.

She's FOUR. That's silly to say you can see that at FOUR. I knew a girl (who I was unfortunately related to by marriage for a while) that was a total "boy" until she was 13, and then she just went slutty, the other extreme, as though a switch was flipped.

Started wearing too much makeup, low rider jeans and crop tops... bragging about random hookups with strangers. She now has four kids with four different daddies. So, no, I would not say being a tomboy at four will mean you're a lesbian when you grow up.

Why do models nowadays (and young celebrities) stand with their toes in so they look bowl legged? It is the dumbest trend I have ever seen. If they were really bowl legged, they would hate it.

Iam getting tired of people acting as if Pitt and Angelina are the only celebrities that have volunteered time andmoney to help people!!!!! They are one of many who do not go touting their giving as these two for publicity!

Julie - The term is, "Bow-legged", as in a bow. What would be the connection with a bowl?

It is also known as bandy-leg, bowleg, bow-leg, and tibia vara. Usually there is an outward curvature of both femur and tibia. "

1) Wynz: Do you have a four year old? I did. She's five now, but trust me even at 4 she had an opinion about what she wore. Mine is a girly girl who won't wear anything but dresses without throwing a fit. (Heck punishement around here is telling her she can't wear a dress for a week!)

2) Mr. Marino: Was the comment about Danny Devito really necessary. It implies he is unattractive, (which he is not) that Angelina Jolie doesn't love Brad Pitt, (which you have no idea about) and that you are a jerk.

Interestingly, I though Shiloh was looking a lot like a very young Chaz Bono and was wondering what was up. Never having had a child of confused gender, I can't say how I would have dealt with it. But I've got to wonder if dressing her "trans-gender" at the tender age of 4, is the best solution. I don't know. The fact is, she isn't a "little dude", at least not yet.

Some of the comments about this child are totally off base. Children can be VERY funky about their clothes, especially if parents allow them to choose what they like instead of dressing them the way the parent wants them to be perceived.

My daughter would NOT wear dresses or flowery stuff when she was that age either. She preferred 'boy' clothes and shorter hair.

She's now 14 and she has a very ecclectic style that is totally hers. She goes from Asian inspired (traditional) tops and dresses to very funky hippy type clothing to jeans and t-shirts. The kid wouldn't wear an Aeropostle shirt if it was the only thing in her closet. (Which is the major trend at her school.) So kids do change as they grow up - as does their style, why label them before they even know who they are themselves?

Okay, I have only boys so far, but, come on... letting a kid express their own individual style, there is nothing wrong with that!

My older son has curly hair, and my baby doesn't. Therefore, the older one likes to let his puff out "bigger", as he calls it, than my younger one does.

They are both into superheroes, so they wear a lot of those type of t-shirts or shoes.

So what? People act like kids should dress and do their hair "cookie cutter" ways, or there is something wrong with their parenting. That's just plain stupidity.

Granted, you shouldn't let your daughter dress like a skeeza, or you son like a thug. Or have curse-words shaved into their hair (like a thug.) There are happy mediums, though, people!

Not all girls want long hair, not all boys want short hair. It's different to put a girl in pants than a boy in a skirt, though. Overreaction, much? Just calling her a lesbian in the making sounds MEAN... she's just a cute little girl who wants to keep up with her brothers, rather than be prissy right now. She could easily get over it.
