We're pretty sure it was Victor Hugo who once famously said, "As the purse is empty, the heart is filled." But with so many fabulous new sale sites cropping up all over the Internet, our hearts are not only filled, they're practically overflowing.

The latest private-sale shopping site: eDressMe Exclusives, a new members-only sample-sale site from eDressMe.com, launching July 7. Much like Gilt Groupe, Editors' Closet, and ideeli, eDressMe Exclusives offers huge deals for shoppers who sign up -- membership is free -- for the sample-sale prices.

Here's how it works: Each Wednesday, starting at 8 a.m. EST, a new online boutique of deeply discounted designer pieces will be offered for three days only or until the goods are sold out. The markdowns? Think $1,350 to $405 for a Loris Dorin dress; $83 to $24 for a one-shouldered Josh Brody dress, or $306 to $91.80 for a chic, black shift by Apart.

eDressMe CEO and founder Joanne Stoner tells StyleList that dresses, naturally, will be the staple items featured in the sales.

"We will be including a wide assortment of dresses ranging from casual sundresses, office dresses, as well as cocktail dresses and evening gowns," she says. "However, with that being said, we also understand the growing popularity of separates -- such as jewelry, handbags, and sportswear -- on eDressMe, and they will also be included in the sale from time to time."

The first few sales will include brands such as Classique, Nicole Miller, Anna Sui, Loris Dorin, Josh Brody, Jane Wang, and Apart. Additionally, top designers from the 125 brands found on eDressMe will be available at discounted prices of up to 70 percent off retail for a limited time.

"We bring fabulous right-on-trend designer styles at an amazing discount ranging between 70 to 90 percent off regular price," Stoner tells StyleList. "In addition, those who sign up today [July 6] will get $15 off their first order and can enter to win one of five dresses that we will be giving away."
