Burberry's elegantly cool Brit style and signature tartan plaid print is now looking to make its mark on the world of beauty.

Available now exclusively on Nordstrom.com, Burberry Beauty's full line of cosmetics include richly pigmented lipsticks, glosses, eye shadows and blushes in wearable sheer shades that celebrate the brand's heritage.

"The colors are taken from the signature Burberry color palette -- natural, light, timeless and iconic. We have been inspired by our beautiful stormy, cloudy, misty, hazy skies followed by the gentle glow of the British sun," says Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey.

Bailey says the inspiration behind the new line came several years ago, when he realized that Burberry fans had every accessory to express and outfit their individuality with, except for cosmetics. Taking a cue from the natural style and relaxed attitude of the brand's best-selling trench design, a focus on beauty that allows the skin to glow through was the goal of the project.

Models Lily Donaldson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Nina Porter headline the sexy ad campaign, which is big on both trench style and alluringly tousled hair and pouty lip beauty.

And when you're a brand with a highly coveted -- not to mention copied -- logo, packaging counts.

"The packaging feels incredibly luxurious and elegant as well as evocative and sentimental. The experience of opening and unwrapping the makeup is as exciting as the product itself. The packaging subtly brings together all the influences and inspirations, and it's something that feels precious -- it's a beautiful object, one that you want to keep long after it's finished," describes Bailey.

Compacts that stand the test of time is a good thing for a beauty line that falls between $27 to $55 for a piece of the glamour.
