Karl Lagerfeld is rumored to be making a cameo appearance on the next season of "Gossip Girl," Glamour reports.

Let the hyperventilating begin.

The buzz began after Herr Lagerfeld was reportedly spied leaving a hotel with the show's star Blake Lively, who is conveniently in Paris to film scenes for the show's next season. And something tells us the two aren't having an affair...

Adding fuel to the fire is Lively and co-star Leighton Meester's attendance at the July 6 Chanel haute couture show, according to Grazia Daily.

Oh, girls -- it would be so cruel to tease us!

The show is no stranger to fashion figures, with the likes of Tory Burch making cameos. But having the Prince of Darkness himself on the set would significantly raise the stakes.

CW sources are staying quiet, but if there is a God there will be a plot line revealing Lagerfeld as Chuck Bass' real father. Hey, a girl can dream, right?
