The singer once again wore the Italian designer for the closing ceremony of the South Africa-based tournament.
If you tuned in to the World Cup's opening ceremony almost a month ago, you'll remember seeing Shakira shake her stuff in an African-themed Cavalli ensemble that consisted of a black-and-white, animal-print cut-out bodysuit paired with a fringed grass skirt-like bottom.
For the closing performance, she belted out her World Cup anthem "Waka-Waka (This Time for Africa)" in a similar getup but with a definite upgrade in color and overall impact.
Shakira donned a tulle top heavily embellished with multicolored pearls in a vibrant African-print motif, while her silk fringed "grass skirt" was done in bold yellows, fuchsias, greens, and oranges this time around, and incorporated animal-print strips of fabric with bursts of bright pink silk flowers.
To accentuate those famous hips, Cavalli added a denim belt embroidered with African-style pearls in a rich tribal pattern.
Shakira completed the look by rocking leather cuff bracelets with floral silk appliqué and puffs of bright feathers.
In the meantime, check out Shakira's T-shirt design with Mango to benefit Africa, as well as the work of some talented local South African designers.
