Russell Brand as 'Arthur' - Wears a Top Hat, Goes Dandy for Remake

That's the motto Russell Brand appears to be living by as he steps into the late Dudley Moore's unsteady shoes to play a drunken wealthy playboy in a remake of the 1981 comedy "Arthur."
While 5-foot-2 1/2-inch Moore sported mostly classic suits in the original film, fellow Brit Brand seems to be playing Arthur as more of a dandy.
The outgrageous 6-foot-2 comic was spotted on the movie's New York City set wearing light blue trousers with suspenders, a brown cravat, white shoes, and a topcoat, according to the Daily Mail.
It also seems that Arthur's become a bit of a metrosexual in his makeover. The Daily Mail reports that Brand tweeted about shaving his body hair for the part. "I am playing him as a long, thin, new born tot," he wrote.
Also joining Brand in the "Arthur" overhaul: Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, and Greta Gerwig, who takes over Liza Minnelli's role as Arthur's working-class love interest.
Gerwig also filmed scenes yesterday, wearing an '80s inspired ensemble of a blue-green tank top, a black miniskirt and studded belt, chunky ankle boots, and lots of baubles.

Speaking of Minnelli and movies, check out what she wore to the "Sex and the City 2" premiere.
