Carrie Underwood's Wedding Dress - Monique Lhuillier

It was Chantilly lace for the pretty face of country music star Carrie Underwood as she walked down the aisle to marry NHL hockey player Mike Fisher on July 10 in Georgia.

The 27-year-old "American Idol" winner wore an elegant custom-made Chantilly lace wedding dress by designer Monique Lhuillier, People reports.

The singer described her dress back in March, "It's just girly and pretty, and it's simple and glamorous at the same time."

Underwood's bridesmaids also donned Monique Lhuillier dresses for the lavish nuptials held at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga., according to the magazine.

Lhuillier's ultra-feminine wedding gowns have been selected by celebrity brides such as Pink, Ali Landry, and Britney Spears.

In February, the designer received prime-time exposure when "The Bachelor's" Molly Malaney wore one of Lhuillier's gowns -- a $45,000 strapless number accented with cascading rosettes -- for her televised California seaside marriage to Jason Mesnick.

Pictures of Underwood's wedding -- which took place under high security at the lakeside resort -- have not yet been released. (We're expecting to see the blushing bride in her gorgeous gown on the cover of this week's People.)

The more than 200 guests included former "Idol" judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, as well as current judge Randy Jackson, reports Radaronline.com. Also in attendance were fellow country crooners Garth Brooks and Faith Hill.

The couple released the following statement to People: "We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and have shared this day with family and friends who mean so much.." They signed it, "Mike and Carrie Fisher." Awww!

Fisher, 30, plays center for the Ottawa Senators. He proposed to Underwood last December with a 12-carat diamond estimated to be worth $800,000.

The couple dated quietly for about a year after meeting backstage at a 2008 Underwood concert in Toronto.

As StyleList previously reported, brides on a modest budget can sample Lhuillier's creations through her less expensive "Bliss" line.

Carrie Underwood Fisher is one of the classiest people ever
to work in the entertainment business. She is one smart
cookie to keep things low-key so the papparazzi doesn't
know about her every turn. I'm so happy that she has met
and married someone who seems very much like herself.
I doubt if she would ever be happy with the likes of most
men in the public eye.
She's from a wonderful family, appreciates all that has
happened to her in the last 5 or 6 years, and couldn't be
more classy if she tried. She is beautful inside and outside. I wish them EVERY HAPPINESS.
May they live a very long and happy life together.
Looking forward to seeing her in concert in Nov.

Tim McGraw couldn't have been in attendance, since he was performing a concert in Virginia on Saturday night! Get your facts straight.

I thought it was alot of secrecy for a dress that was not that great, the middle part was transparent which made it very tacky, not very sophisticated. I prefered the second dress. I have noticed in the past that 8 times out of 10 she wears dresses that are not right for her body. I agree with previous emails she is pretty. Well every female outhere would be pretty with the holywood treatement, hair extensions, faux eyelashes, makeup artist etc etc... no problem, one has just to take a look the no make up photos to judge. We are all the same and there is no need to put some people on a pedestal, she has a nice voice but she is no Celine Dion or Barbara S. Just a cute little country star.

I have heard many time that she is all nice for the public but in private it is another matter. In fact they are calling her the country bitch!!

Also I would like to know which charitable organization she has choosen to give the 2millions she has received from the people magazine, it is always the way to go for famous rich people. Surely she will not keep it to pay for the wedding. That would be very very tacky. Most definately a faux pas.

Celine Dion and Streisand don't hold a candle to Carrie. No artist in the last 50 years has proven to be able to sing so flawless on record and live. No other artist can switch so effortless from genre to genre (country, rock, pop, faith, standards) and give historic, event-like performances each and every time. Let's not forget that besides being able to really sell a song emotionally, Carrie is a co-songwriter on her last SIX (6) #21 hits... did Barbara, Celine, Mariah, or Beyonce write any of their songs? basically not... add in her talent on guitar, piano, film, tv, and charity and you have a living legend at 28 yrs old. You obviously have not hear Carrie's version of "Thou Art" from ACM Girls Night Out this year.. millions of people across the world were moved to tears on that one ,and Carrie may have put in the most amazing, emotional live vocal in music history. No other female has even approached that level of talent. cheers.
