Perhaps it's the "Twlight" phenomenon or the recent moody collections by Rodarte, Rachel Roy and Catherine Holstein, but nouveau Goth style is definitely in the air.
So it only makes sense that Essie is debuting some spooky shades -- inspired by none other than Morticia Addams -- for our nails.
Designed by Tony Award-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth, who is currently playing Morticia on the Broadway hit musical, "The Addams Family," along with her husband, Napa Valley winery owner Chris Calkins, and Essie founder Essie Weingarten, the 3-polish set, dubbed 'Morticia's Nails,' includes the limited-edition shades Bone Chilling White, Blood Curdling Red and the navy-hued Midnight Tango.
All of the proceeds from the $30 gift set will benefit The Actors Fund, a non-profit supporting the performing arts.
"I'm thrilled that we've partnered with Essie Cosmetics to create this wonderful item that's not only beautiful in-and-of itself, but will also benefit one of the most vital and worthwhile service organizations in our industry," Neuwirth said in a statement. "This special edition is limited to 5,000 pieces, which we expect will generate well over $100,000 for The Actors Fund."
Fans can scoop up the chilling shades at at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City starting July 19th or they can pre-order the product online at Essie.com, theaddamsfamilymusical.com and actorsfund.com.
