This summer, Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet and M.A.C. Cosmetics want to color you bad.

The pint-sized designer has teamed up with the mega makeup brand to launch a cosmetics collection filled with bold pigments, lipglosses, and nail lacquers that embody the spirit of the quintessential Alice + Olivia girl.

StyleList was on the scene last night as the hottest young models, actresses, and stars packed inside of New York City's Beauty Bar to celebrate the collaboration with manicures, cocktails, and music.

DJ Leigh Lezark, "The City's" Samantha Swetra, Zoe-Lister Jones, Jill Flint, Estée Lauder Group President John Demsey, "Real Housewives of New York City's" Kelly Bensimon, Hollis Wakeema, and Jaunel McKenzie -- were among those in attendance.

In the midst of everyone getting pretty, StyleList caught up with Bendet to learn about the inspiration behind the collection, her favorite products, and her beauty must-have for fall.

"M.A.C. has always been of my of favorite brands for makeup. I am obsessed with everything! I run to the makeup counters," said Bendet. "So, when they approached me to do something I was really excited. M.A.C. and Alice + Olivia have a lot of synergy."

Involved in the creative process from the start, the dynamic duo created a nine-piece line that hit counters earlier this month in pretty-yet-edgy shades of turquoise, purple, yellow, and pink boasting names like Morning After, So Rich So Pretty, I Want Candy, and If It Sparkles.

"I wanted the colors to be really bright and fun and sort of unexpected in a way that you might not think to use teal pigment, but you'd put it on and your eyes look awesome! Even the yellow. You're like 'that's weird!' And you put it on and it makes you glow," Bendet said. "It tied into some of our summer collection but it's also black, white, with pops of color."

Flashing a polka dot manicure at the party, Bendet is obsessed with all of the nail polishes. "I think the colors came out amazing!" And the Dazzleglass Cremes are among her favorites as well.

And with fall just a few months away, the designer greeted her guests wearing the season's top trends including a fur vest and bold sequin minidress. But Bendet's "it" fall item falls on her pout. "I've been into red lips and I think it's because my hair is really dark now."
