Whoops! Looks like fashion magazines could use their own version of "Don't Steal My Prom Dress."
The horror, the horror!
While W's Eva Mendes and Vogue's Freja Beha Erichsen both model the bright version of the dress, Elle UK cover girl Lily Allen at least dons a slightly different lilac and lace version, according to the paper.
Still, in the ultra-competitive fashion world, showing off the same dress so prominently is equivalent to committing style hari-kari.
"You have to take these things in your stride," Elle UK editor Lorraine Candy tells the Guardian.
"Obviously I'd rather it [the dress] wasn't on a major rival.
"Usually press offices are pretty good at making sure we don't get the same dress as our rival."
We suspect someone at Miu Miu is either going to get a major tongue-lashing from an angry editor, or a promotion for plastering that dress all over the magazine rack. Let's hope it's the latter...
Meanwhile, check out W's new (and Miu Miu-free) cover featuring Rebecca Hall and Jon Hamm.
