Set your DVRs, kids! Italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who are celebrating their 20th year in menswear design, will be explored in a CNN special on July 21.
The 30-minute "CNN Revealed" segment will hit the tube worldwide (check your local listings), giving a behind-the-scenes look at the personal and professional lives of the pair.
To capture the exclusive footage, the CNN crew filmed the two at home playing with their dogs, backstage at their shows, and at their huge 20th anniversary celebration in Milan in June.
In a snippet of the piece, we see the two working their magic before a menswear show and trying to explain why their personalities and roles work so well together.
"I don't talk to anyone," Gabbana explains, "and he talks to everybody."
Longtime Dolce & Gabbana model David Gandy puts it more succinctly: "[Stefano] sort of looks after the visuals and the branding, and Domenico is more in charge of styling and the shows. So they're very different. One has a very dry sense of humor and the other is more hands-on and in the limelight."
Other notables interviewed include Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer, who describes what it's like to have them as friends.
"I met Domenico and Stefano 20 years ago. We were all sort of starting out," says Schiffer. "They have all the good qualities of Italians -- the passion, loving women, loving family life. They have a warmth about them and they're very genuine and loyal friends. They know how to enjoy life, from really great food to great music to lovely houses and boats. To be a part of that is wonderful, and they love sharing it with their friends and family."
Oh, to be a D&G bestie -- at least we can all vicariously be one for a night!
