My honest opinion of the model's hair style........ewwwww.
How many women (not models) will opt for that style? There are retro styles more attractive - the bob, the updo without the pompadour (probably misspelled)!

Retro? As in when was that mess in style? It doesn't even come close if it is in fact trying to imitate the updo pompadour type style of the 40's characteristic of many of Hollywood's golden actresses...i.e, betty davis, joan crawford, katherine hepburn..okay, maybe it's kate hepburn after being tossed into a pool by spencer tracey.....It's simply a horrible mess, no woman in the 1940's would be caught dead being seen with that mess of a hairstyle outside their homes. I know this because my mother is from that generation and she used to do hair, and no one in her family, in the dozens of pictures that I have looked like that mess of a thing. Retro....hahahaha. These 20 something 'fashion' people haven't got a clue and they're too darned lazy to actually peruse old fashion mags and movies to actually see what hairstyles were all about.

I have to echo marie's question: what retro hairstyle is this supposed to be? I was raised in the 50s and 60s and I don't remember anything quite like this. The only thing I can think of is that it may be a cross between an upsweep (40s) and a pompadour (50s), but that's a stretch. All the editors here have to do is watch a few old movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s to find some excellent examples of real period hairstyles.

And BTW, editors, PLEASE REMOVE ALL THIS STUPID SPAM! I'm fed up with having to wade thru all this crapola to read real comments.
