Katy Perry's hotly anticipated sophomore album may be titled "Teenage Dream," but after seeing the smokin' new promo images released by her record label to promote the disc, we think she may want to reconsider "Katy Perry and The Amazing Technicolor PVC Underwear."

We're just sayin'!

The bold beauty with a penchant for brightly colored wigs and outrageous attire doesn't disappoint in a vibrant violet hairpiece and equally blinding PVC undies.

Practical? No (especially not in this summer's blazing heat). Eye-catching? Most definitely!

The "California Gurls" crooner has a lot on her plate in the coming months. Not only does her album drop in just 26 days, but she'll also be releasing her very first fragrance, Purr by Katy Perry, in November, and is busy finalizing her upcoming wedding to actor Russell Brand.

And it should come as no surprise to anyone that Perry is lending her voice to play another brightly hued hottie, Smurfette, in 2011's feature film "The Smurfs."
