This past weekend, the fashion flock headed to Water Mill, N.Y. where perky television personality Kelly Ripa and actress Ashley Greene from "Twilight" co-hosted the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's 13th annual Super Saturday shopping bonanza alongside Donna Karan and Ariel Foxman from InStyle magazine. True to form, the famous designer garage sale was full of eager shoppers, celebrities and super steals.

Originally created by Karan and her longtime friend Harper's Bazaar editor Liz Tilberis (who later died of ovarian cancer), Super Saturday has become a social must for the summer season. At its inception, though, it was a small tag sale held in Tilberis' backyard, with designers "emptying out their personal closets," Karan told StyleList.

"I would do anything for a great bargain and a great cause," said leggy Southern bell Karile Kloss who I spotted in the Ralph Lauren booth snatching up a dress. Elsewhere the three Kardashian sisters (Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney) scoured the grounds for great deals with mom Kris Jenner and baby daddy Scott Disick in tow. Their approach was to split up to "get the best stuff."

Fun-loving designer Betsy Johnson was not only there as a contributor but also a shopper. "Its pot luck, but I'm ready to find something great," she told me in her typically bubbly fashion.

Ripa took her role as hostess quite seriously, even going as far as to thank a couple from Maryland for their attendance. "I'm thrilled this event raises so much money and awareness, thank you for coming!"

After working the press line, Rachel Zoe was told that her booth had already been picked dry (I helped in that) which caused the uber-stylist to decree, "Darn! This happens every year...by the time I get to my booth I miss all the good stuff!"

One of my final stops was at Shoshanna Gruss's booth. While there I overheard a credit card-wielding shopper inquire about the designer's necklace. "This is my new look for QVC," she said excitedly. "So many people people have been asking me about it! I'm proud because I have been working on a jewelry line for two years and finally my debut show will be on August 10th at 9pm!"

In the end, I scored some really good finds (ADAM dresses and a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes) and don't even feel guilty about it. Shopping should always be like this!
