While Jessica Simpson's VH1 series may question the price of beauty, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's daughter Caroline Giuliani may simply have been trying to avoid it altogether by shoplifting at a Sephora store on Manhattan's upper East Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The New York Daily News reports that the 20-year-old was caught with approximately $150 worth of goods stuffed in her jacket pockets. Proving that she has expensive taste the items included a Dior skin primer, Bliss moisturizer and then, perhaps more randomly, a hairnet.

The fair-haired Giuliani was arrested at the scene on a count of misdemeanor petty larceny and taken to the 19th precinct where she was issued a ticket that will put her back in court on August 31.

A Sephora employee who surveyed the crime as it was being committed told the Daily News, ""We were watching her on camera. She was stealing mad stuff." The former mayor released this statement through a spokesperson: ""This is a personal matter and Mayor Giuliani asks the media to respect the privacy of his daughter at this time."

"Real Housewive's of New York's" Countess LuAnn de Lesseps may sing, "Money can't buy you class," but we've all learned a valuable lesson here – sometimes it can't buy you pricy skincare either.
