We all know we're supposed to replace our mascara every few months to avoid clumpy flakes and icky germs getting near our eyes. Choosing a new one from the myriad options that exist isn't exactly a breeze, but here's a way to make the task a bit easier.
Model turned makeup mogul Josie Maran is joining forces with a charitable organization called City of Hope (which provides research, treatment and education for cancer patients) to launch the GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara campaign, which will run from now through August 2012.

The deal is that for every $22 mascara purchase, the Get One Give One (GOGO) campaign will give a tube to a patient living with cancer; after the first 5,000 purchases, Maran will hand over $1 from each GOGO mascara (for a minimum of $25,000!) to the City of Hope's Women's Cancers Program. In addition, Ms. Maran herself will join City of Hope on August 19th (at the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center in Duarte, CA), to help give makeovers to cancer patients and survivors.

Okay, doing a good deed like this is always awesome, but let's get to the nitty-gritty.

How does the stuff rate? We're happy to report the glowing reviews: a patented brush pumps up volume by surrounding each and every last lash without clumping, and the water-resistant formula is made without synthetic ingredients. Instead, it contains 50% organic goodies, including, of course, protein-rich Argan Oil, which conditions and encourages growth so lashes look super thick and long.

You know what you need to do now -- buy a GOGO mascara already!

And then find out how, exactly, waterproof mascara works.
