Look of the Day - Drew Barrymore Wears a $25 Vintage Dress on the Red Carpet

Last night in Los Angeles, actress Drew Barrymore strutted the red carpet in a vintage metallic chain mail frock at Nylon's August issue party to celebrate Express Denim.

And while she is known to wear Lanvin and the like, this dress was a particular standout both in design and affordability. "It was $25 and she bought it at a vintage store in Austin, Texas," her rep told StyleList.

It's not surprising that Barrymore, ever the fashion butterfly, picked up the geometric piece. "I never have time for shopping," the actress told the mag this month. "I like it...I think? If I ever do go shopping, I hit thrift stores..."

Further complimenting her overall ensemble was her ombré hair and simple accessories. Namely, classic gold hoops, a charm necklace, and fab YSL Tribute Too pumps.

The event, hosted in her honor, was also attended by Kelly Osbourne, "Hills" star Stephanie Pratt and 90210 actress Shenae Grimes.

Drew is a beautiful young woman who has come full circle with a great head on her. She picked herself up by her bootstraps and went forward with her life, onward to accomplish great things within the motion picture industry. My hat is off to her and wish her all the best.

I too agree. Drew has indeed come into herself. After such a rocky childhood and early adult years, she certainly has become quite a woman. I send kudos to her not only for facing and defeating her demons, but also for just being real. You go girl!

Talent???? How much Education does it take to become an Actor ????? NONE. As for as TALENT is concerned. It takes NO Talent to become an ACTOR. You just have to have a least 2 brain cells so that you can talk and walk. Example. ( Any ACTOR or ACTRESS).

I have to disagree... acting does take talent. If all could act, then all would be standing in front of the cameras and there would be no issue of unemployment. What does take only 2 brain cells is being a mean person. Being mean is a void of all intelligent thought and often entails a serous case of envy. So mean people, if you envy the success of a person you do not know... do not think that you must post mean things and insults. Peace out!
