'Project Runway' Sneak Peek: A Designer Collapses During Betsey Johnson Challenge
A "hard-partying" season 8 "Project Runway" designer is about to become a real fashion victim.
Our sneak peek of Aug. 12's "PR" episode (above) shows one of the contestants receiving oxygen and leaving the Parsons workroom on a stretcher, a fate foreshadowed by host Heidi Klum's dire pre-season prediction that the delicate cast would suffer for their designs.
If Klum hadn't let us in on the plot stitch, StyleList might have been blaming innocent designer Betsey Johnson for the ambulances on the scene.
Johnson acts as guest judge this week and will critique a party-favor-themed challenge, so expect confetti-lacquered dresses, streamer skirts, punch bowl hats, and way too much workroom fun for a certain someone.
StyleList had to slip on its reading glasses to focus on the designer who becomes an NYC ambulance accessory. (We asked Lifetime reps to fess up, but they teased that the contestant's identity is deliberately obscured behind an oxygen mask in a darkened hallway to up the suspense.) Sew not fair.
Our best guess: Either Ivy Higa or Andy South could not take the heat (or that designer Gretchen Jones has already sewn up two runway challenges in a row).
