One of my best friends just tied the knot and jetted off for a romantic honeymoon in Paris. Traveling is always a great opportunity to try on different sartorial personalities, push the style envelope and experiment with new looks. Honeymoons add another dimension, letting you indulge your fashion imagination while out on the town and back in your hotel love nest. So for this installment of The Weekender, we've put together a sophisticated outfit to wear out to dinner (and, ahem, afterward) in the City of Lights.

Style tips:

• Lingerie: It's silly to break the bank on a frilly chemise or sexy garter getup. Variety is your friend when it comes to lingerie, and, lets be honest, it doesn't stay on long, so durability is less of an issue. And stores like H&M, Forever 21 and Target have a full range of flirty underthings for bargain prices. This ruffly Kohl's babydoll chemise has a retro Bardot sultriness to it.
• Bra: One area where it's always a good idea to spend a bit more money is on bras. Fit and quality are extremely important and the right bra can improve the look of everything that you wear over it. With that in mind, we'd recommend splurging on a lacy bra by a company like Wacoal or this line by Elle Macpherson, which looks much more luxe than its $90 pricetag and has a great range of sizes up to DD.

• Color: When packing for trips, we always organize our outfits by color scheme.
