Our friends over at PopEater reported that the budding actress has nabbed the starring role in the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's bestseller "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
Mara, who previously appeared in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and will next be seen in "The Social Network," will play Lisbeth Salander, a fearless genius tormented by a terrible childhood, in the crime thriller.
Even more impressive than her recent string of feature films, has been Rooney's red carpet style.
For her "A Nightmare on Elm Street" premiere, the 25-year-old actress looked chic and sophisticated in an Alberta Ferretti nude razmir and chiffon dress, which she paired with neutral platform heels, a delicate headband, and fancy gold clutch.
