That is a picture taken from the film "the Misfits" and at times she was rolling or was dragged through the dirt, such as when trying to break a horse. I think that was her last movie.

It's a big wonderful book and the photo in the pig tails is on Pg 70-The Misfits-1960..the polka dot dress w dog on pg 125 That fab shot with the plaid pants pg 135 Those are Jax Pants Marilyn loved to walk around the dressing room with them unzipped. Her publicist would appear and pull the zipper tab UP This is a big book with big photos and one I will never give away Check ebay alibris or half.com

I don't know about everything being lies but that definitely is a man's arm in the photo of her with pigtails. Whoever photo shopped that did a real bad job. To bad they had to ruin a picture of a beautiful & glamorous woman by doing something like that.

Photoshop?!? That makes no sense... the fact that the photo has flaws in it can be taken as testament to it's authenticity. Photoshop is for making pictures look better, not worse. If they were Photoshopping don't you think they would've REMOVED shadows/dirt/discoloration from the arm?? What would be the point of taking a photo of her and making it look like she has a man's arm or pasting her head on someone else's body?
I think it is a great picture, flaws and all.
