Chanel to Debut Three Khaki Nail Polishes at Fashion's Night Out 2010

The first Fashion's Night Out was an evening that went down in nail polish history.

It was the night Chanel Nail Vernis in Jade -- the minty green shade that, given its prominent positioning on the finger tips of just about every film star and fashionista, is in our minds the official nail color of Fall 2009 -- was first made available to the public.

This year, Chanel is keeping with the FNO manicure, but this time it's courtesy of a trio of on-trend shades that global creative director Peter Philips created exclusively for the evening. In three different tones of khaki -- rose, brown, and green -- the Les Khakis de Chanel will be available for $25 per bottle in Chanel boutiques, on Chanel.com and in select department stores.

The shades are flatteringly flesh-tone to enhance every skin color, not to mention right in vein with the greige tones that are topping our tip wish list for Fall. In fact, Marc Jacobs directed manicurists to paint models' fingers four different tones of beigy-gray at his Fall 2010 runway show.

Post Fashion's Night Out, we plan to do the same thing with these killer khakis.

In the meantime, check out the Chanel Fall 2010 color collection.

I think khaki colors and army are going to be big this fall. I wonder what these colors look like on fair skin tones. I prefer dark brown, like Haggard Life (www.lexcosmetics.com)

There are hundreds of shades of polish on the market.
Just how much do you dumb women think everyone is gawking at your fingernails ? Only you and an occasional compliment from someone trying to be nice. Its like when you mow your lawn you think it looks great, yet when you drive down the street you don't even notice everyone elses mowed lawns.

Saul...what's there to say? You're just a moron.....plain and simple. I think one would question why the hell you're even reading an article on nail polish!!!

Two of the 3 colors are very pretty. The 3rd....not so much. My nails are very long, and I maintain them beautifully, (even tho it costs me a fortune). I never, ever use the colors in the salon I go to. I bring my own, which are gorgeous colors from Avon. Also, a little helpful hint....I only use "speed dry". They actually dry instantly, and polish is excellent! On occasion they are on sale for about 3-4 bucks a bottle.

Maybe he's one to be interested in colors itself, instead of the actual polish. How is HE a moron? I apply nailpolish, but what good is there to it? It makes me feel like a princess, but no one stops and says "OMG, I LOVE YOUR HAND! THAT POLISH MAKES IT LOOK SOOOO PRETTY!". It's not like other makeup, whereas it enhances certain features, but what's the difference between nailpolish and basically hiding your nails with paint? You're not enhancing anything but your dependency on painting them again as soon as the polish stats to chip away and expose the rest of the nail. And don't try to chicken out by calling me a moron either. That's extremely moronic in itself.

$25.00 for a bottle of nail polish?
So, if you buy all three, you hand the clerk a $100 bill and they put three little bottles of nail polish in a bag and hand you back change (less than $20.00).
I am at a loss for words.

If I could vote for your comment a million times, I would. I stumbled upon this website because I couldn't find the article about the Chanel khaki collection on fashionista.com and am COMPLETELY flabbergasted at the ignorance of all these comments!

I am with Ena completely. I already tried a green khaki similar to Chanel's Vert but did not like so I am going to try Chanel's Khaki Rose. So much for trying to economize; you can't beat Chanel!

These colors are just plain ugly. I want my finger nails to pop...I don't understand colors that just blend in...Maybe I'm just more into girly colors for nails. Sorry Chanel but these colors are a fail for me.

There are actually only about two nail polish manufactureres in the US. Nail polish is mostly private labeled. Different names, for different companies, same toxic, ingredients. Instead...NAILBUFFS "Putting nail care where it belongs, into your own hands." "And not just because of the way it looks."
