Avon just announced its newest spokesperson for the Anew Platinum line, Jacqueline Bisset. The British 60's screen star is 65 and sexy as ever, so it's no wonder the brand wants her to be the face of their new skincare initiative for the over-60 set.

Anew Platinum Serum and Night Cream were created to treat skincare concerns such as dryness and sagging with a proprietary ingredient called Paxillium, which is said to promote the production of a key skin protein called paxillin by about 60 percent. This protein is responsible for collagen production and skin's elasticity.

"They are more accepting of aging, but still want to look their best," said Andre Baradat of women in this age group, Avon's vice president of global skin care and personal care, in an interview with WWD. Bisset personifies that attitude toward beauty, he added. "She looks beautiful, but she doesn't believe in plastic surgery. She has poise and she projects confidence."

"As you get older, your skin seems to empty out a bit," said Bisset. She also said she already has begun to see the benefits of using Anew Platinum, "Your skin feels very young and fresh. It feels full afterward." The star says she avoids Botox and plastic surgery in favor of exercise and positive thinking as the keys to her beauty and fitness regimen.

While the line doesn't launch until November, you can go to Avon.com and receive a notification when the product is available by clicking the "notify" button next to the Anew Platinum products. You can also purchase a trial size of the Night Cream or Serum for $1.99 until the full size is available.
