So we admit this stretches the boundaries of an actual fashion story, but, really, this is too good to pass up: The Snazzy Napper.
"The Snazzy Napper is a comfortable and cool, soft and lightweight, sleep-in-privacy shield that blocks out distracting light," a pitchman says in the unsettling product's video ad. Pictured are two men sitting in a waiting room with a woman who suddenly pulls out a sleep mask with a mini blanket attached and straps it to her head.
Naturally, the men just keep on reading their newspapers because this is not at all unusual behavior.
So how does this garish getup work? Simply place the cushioned eye guard over your peepers, poke your nose through the oval opening, adjust the straps, and you're ready to go beddy-bye and give those around you nightmares.
That said, you will look snazzy, since the product comes in two dreamy styles!
The original, which sells for $14.99, is a bright blue color and features a cute little cartoon lamb. The extra large version is midnight blue with a giant snoozing half-moon. What's more, it can be used as a blanket on a bus, train, plane, or any other mode of transportation for which you want to guarantee that no one will sit next to you. "It's like privacy in a bag," boasts the ad -- and they ain't kidding!
Best of all, ladies, you can leave that handbag at home! The Snazzy Napper also includes handy pockets for storing items like a compact, cell phone, and eyeglasses. So I guess it does qualify as a real fashion accessory. Maybe?
